Aliyev meets with Minsk Group co-Chairmen

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday (11 March) received the three co-Chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Igor Popov of Russia, Stephane Visconti of France and Richard Hoagland of the United States of America, together with Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace in Baku. No information was released after the meeting.

Today (10 October), the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado for the Nobel Peace Prize. In the speech, the Norwegian Nobel Committee said that “she won for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy”. Machado was among 338 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize and has become its 20th female laureate.
