Muslims in the Caucasus and world-wide mark the end of Ramadan

MuslIms in the Caucasus region, and world-wide, are marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the start of the feast of Eid el fitr.

In Azerbaijan, Namaz prayers were said in mosques on Wednesday morning.

At the Tezapir Mosque in Baku, the prayers were led by Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Bureau, who is considered as the most senior Islamic cleric in the Caucasus.

In Azerbaijan, as well as in other parts of the Caucasus there are both Shia and Sunni Muslims.
