France appoints new co-Chair of OSCE Minsk process on Karabakh

France has appointed a new co-Chair to the OSCE Minsk Group on Karabakh. By a decision of the president of France, Francois Hollande,  Stefan Visconti has replaced Pierre Andrieu as the French representative on the troika of co-Chairmen that heads the Minsk Group within the framework of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

The co-chair are currently mandated to seek a solution to the nagorno-Karabakh conflict, working with the parties in the conflict, and other members of the group.

Visconti's appointment has been confirmed by the French Embassy in Baku. Andrieu represent France on the co-Chair troika since 2014.
