Azerbaijan buries one more victim of the Karabakh conflict

The burial took place in Gabala on Saturday of nineteen year old Anar Samad Alishov, a conscript soldier serving with the Azerbaijani army who was earlier reported to have been killed as a result of a violation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani ceasefire. The burial in the village of Zirin was held with full military honours, Azerbaijani media source reported.

There has however been no informatuion as to the circumstances and location of Alishov's death. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan continue to report dozens of daily minor infringements of the ceasefire.

Archbishop arrested in Armenia over alleged coup plot

Armenian authorities on Wednesday arrested a prominent Christian cleric, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, along with 13 other people and charged them with orchestrating a plot to overthrow the government. In a statement reported by Reuters, Armenia's Investigative Committee said it had filed criminal charges against Galstanyan and 15 others whom they said had "acquired the means and tools necessary to commit a terrorist attack and seize power". A total of 14 individuals have been arrested, investigators said.
