The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan held an hour long informal meeting on Tuesday (22 January) on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos in Switzerland. Prime minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and Azerbaijan president Ilham Aliyev are both attending the annual gathering in the Swiss alpine resort.
Armenian and Azerbaijani official sources stated that the two leaders discussed matters connected to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but gave no further details. The meeting was described as informal, and lasted one hour.
