Sweden has won the Eurovision Song festival. Loren emerged as the clear winner in the competition performing her song "Euphoria". More than a hundred million viewers watched the final of the contest on television.
The 28-year-old pop singer delighted viewers dancing barefoot as she sang.
Azerbaijan, the host of this year's festival, showed to the world that it was able to organise a major world event although the ocassion also put a spotlight on some of the challenges facing the country in the field of human rights and governance.
