PACE Monitoring Committee Co-Chair: "We are waiting for Baku's response"

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee convened on the margins of the PACE Autumn Session.

The issues concerning Azerbaijan were discussed during the meeting. PACE Monitoring Co-chair Andres Herkel told APA's European bureau that the work on development of the report on the current situation of Azerbaijani liability was discusses at the meeting: "We sent our report to Azerbaijan at the beginning of September and we are waiting for Baku's response now. According to the procedures, Azerbaijan has 3 months time for its response. We hope that Azerbaijan will be able to submit its liability report to the discussion of PACE January session. That's why main discussion on the reports will be held in Committee's January session".

Herkel mentioned that Ramil Safarov Case was also discussed during the meeting: "This issue was put on agenda".
