The special relationship between the US and the UK was reaffirmed today (10 June) at a meeting of US president Joe Biden and the UK prime minister, Boris Johnson, ahead of the G7 summit starting Friday in Cornwall
Speaking after, Boris Johnson said the UK-US relationship is a "massive strategic importance" for the security of the world.
The UK prime minister has said there is “so much” the US presidential team want to do together with the UK, including security, NATO and climate change. He said talks with US President Joe Biden were “great, they went on for a long time”.
Any differences of opinion, and there are some, remained for the private discussions.
