The 6th Pan-Armenian Games opened in Yerevan on Sunday, 2 August. A symbolic flame was lit by Olympic champion Albert Azaryan at a ceremony which was also attended by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. 6,352 athletes are participating in the games which will be held from August 2 to 13 in Yerevan, Stepanakert, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Abovyan and Artashat.
