As an OSCE chairman, in 2013 Ukraine will provide maximal support to the efforts of the Minsk Group co-chairs in order to give a new stimulus to the negotiation process on the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
The statement came from Ukrainian FM Leonid Kojara, while presenting the directions of the work of the Ukrainian chairmanship for 2013 at the OSCE head office.
He cited the resolution of protracted conflicts in the OSCE space including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan among the main priorities of Ukraine’s chairmanship.
He believes that the Karabakh conflict demands instant attention of the OSCE.
“We need to intensify OSCE’s activity on all stages of the conflict settlement”, Kojara said, “Special attention should be paid to early prevention (of incidents)”.
