Ukrainian plane makes emergency landing in Tbilisi

A Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) passenger plane flying from Kiev made a crash landing at Tbilisi's Shota Rustaveli international airport in Sunday evening (4 February) after a failure of its breaking system.

Georgian media reported that the plane had 132 passengers and six crew members on board. Reports said that the plane made several approaches before landing with a 35 minute delay. It approached landing at a high speed.

Emergency services were on hand at Tbilisi airport during the landing. Passengers were asked to take emergency positions as the plane prepared to land. No one was hurt in the incident.
