Two French journalists working for the newspaper Le Monde were wounded on Thursday morning (1 October) whilst covering the story of the ongoing fighting in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. The journalists were on the Armenian side of the line of contact near the town of Martouni/Khojavend.
The journalists were born in 1989 and 1991. Armenian sources named one of the journalists as Allan Kaval. They had been together with several other journalists including a team from Agence France Presse, who escaped unhurt.
