Silvio Berluscone, the former prime minister of Italy and President of the Forza Italia movement has been diagnosed with corona virus and is self-isolating. This was announced by his party and reported by RAI - the Italian state broadcaster.
Political leaders from across the political spectrum, including former prime minister Matteo Renzi, have tweeted best wishes to the veteran politician.
