Senior Saudi Minister visits Baku

A senior Saudi Minister, Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al Saud met president Ilham Aliyev on Sunday in Baku.

The prince is one of the most senior Saudi officials to visit Azerbaijan in recent times. No information was released after the meeting, except for a report on the website of the Azerbaijani president reporting the exchange of the usual greetings.

The Saudi Minister appears to be on a regional trip. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Nayef on Friday was in Tadjikistan, where he met president Emomali Rohman. On Thursday Prince Abdulazis was in Kazakhstan where he met President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
