Several civil groups that are interested in creating a space for dialogue are bringing women to discuss ways they can excel in sports and improve their quality of life. The dialogue is allowing the value of sports to be better explained to women and their families in the presence of groups of athletes and media professionals.
In every meeting, a specific topic is brought under the spotlight. The idea has been broadly welcomed by segments of society and it is hoped it may expand, allowing a variety of cafés to offer the right social atmosphere for discussions. The organisers of the initiative are seeking support through partnerships and sponsorships to sustain their work.
In one of the recent gatherings, the discussion focused on a healthy lifestyle and raised awareness on how sports can contribute to it. The sessions also addressed how the value of sports can be instilled in children, and the role of the family in doing so.
