President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on an official visit to France, met with his French counterpart François Hollande in Élysée Palace on Wednesda, 9 March
At the end of the meeting, the presidents signed a number of documents on deepening and development of Armenian-French cooperation. They also summed up the results of the negotiations in the statements made before media.
In his statement President Holande highlighted his country's role as one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk process and said that France will continue to work for a political solution. He said "we want to work and find solutions" to avoid a repeat of recent violence. During the visit French and Armenian officials signed three agreements: on easing tourism between their countries, research cooperation and creating a French university in Armenia.
