Commander of new Russian force in Karabakh meets NKR leadership

The Commander of the new Russian military force in Nagorno-Karabakh, General Rustam Muradov, on Friday (13 November) met in Stepanakert with the leadership of the self-declared Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. 

"During the meeting we exchanged views on specific issues related to the implementation of the responsible mission of the peacekeeping contingent", NKR de facto president, Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on his facebook page.

Russia this week deployed two thousand tropops to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone as part of a deal signed by the leaders of Armenia and  Azerbaijan with the president of Russia which brought to an end six weeks of heavy fighting in the region.
