An Azerbaijani civilian was killed on Wednesday (18 April) as a result of Armenian shelling of the village of Giyamaddinli in the Aghjabadi region, Azerbaijani official sources reported.
Rahim Hajiyev, who was 27 years old, was wounded from sharpnel wounds and transferred to Aghjabadi Central Hospital where he later died.
Aghjabadi Rayon is located 374 km away from the Azerbaijani capital Baku, and 45 km from Agdam. Many Kurds who were displaced from Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh because of the conflict now live in the district.
