Armenian opposition political forces have launched a civil disobedience movement to force embattled prime minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign. The campaign is being co-ordinated by "The Movement to Save the Fatherland" a grouping which brings together a number of opposition parties and other political and social forces.
At a protest rally in Yerevan on Saturday, the opposition had given prime minister Pashinyan until noon today local time (0900 CET) to resign.
The Movement to Save the Fatherland has nominated Vazgen Manukyan for the post of prime minister.
