Lavrov meets with co-Chair of Minsk Process to discuss Karabakh

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Sunday (27 September) met in New York, on the margins of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, the co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Process dealing with the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The three co-Chair are diplomats representing France, Russia and the United States. The Personal Representative of the Serbian Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, was also present.

Foreign Minister Lavrov reaffirmed his support for the work of the co-Chair in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

Today (10 October), the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado for the Nobel Peace Prize. Machado was among 338 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize and has become its 20th female laureate.
