KARABAKH-NATIONAL ASSEMBLY-USA-VISIT-FINAL

A member of US Congress, the former chairman of foreign relations commission, Hovard Berman, said during the meeting with the speaker of the NKR parliament Ashot Gulyan in Washington, that he is concerned no progress in the Karabakh conflict settlement process. He ruled out the force
option of the conflict settlement and said that no solution that contradicts the will of the people of Karabakh should be dictated to them.

As press-service of the NKR parliament reported, the meeting with the American congressman was organized in the last day of Gulyan's visit to the USA. Over the meeting they touched on some processes in the South Caucasus. Ashot Gulyan expressed gratitude to the congressman for permanent preserving of the Karabakh issue in the centre of attention.

To note, the four-day visit of the NKR parliamentary delegation to Washington ended today.

Ukrainian suspect in the Nord Stream pipeline blasts arrested in Italy

A Ukrainian citizen suspected of participating in the undersea explosions in 2022 that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines between Russia and Germany has been arrested, German prosecutors said on Thursday 21 August. The suspect, identified only as Serhii K. in line with German privacy rules, was arrested overnight in Italy’s Rimini province, federal prosecutors said. According to an AP report, they added that he is believed to be one of the coordinators of the operation.
