More casualties reported on Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact. Incidents near Tavush region earlier this week claimed eight lives and many wounded.

There are reports of further clashes on the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact Wednesday morning. Armenian sources are reporting clashes around nagorno-Karabakh itself with one Armenian soldier killed and several wounded. The same sources say that Azerbaijan has also suffered casualties but there are no confirmations of this so far from the Azerbaijani side.

Earlier this week there were several incidents near the contact line around the Tavush Region of Northern Armenia. Three Armenian soldiers and five Azerbaijani soldiers were reported killed in those incidents and many wounded. The incidents represent the most serious escalation in the violence for a number of years, although there are still no reports of heavy arms being used.
