Azerbaijani military conduct large scale exercises in Nakhchivan

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence has confirmed that it is conducting large-scale military exercises in the Nakhchivan Austonomous Republic. The exercises are being personally supervised by the Defence Minister. Col. General Zakir Hasanov and involve officials from the Defense Ministry, personnel units of Army Special Forces, aviation systems, air defense forces, missile force and artillery troops, including modern armored vehicles.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence said that the exercises "will check the level of combat training of units in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The possibility of using military equipment, as well as modern weapons will be studied. Special attention will be paid to faster and efficient fulfillment of tasks, preparation of headquarters operations, interoperable and secure organizing and implementation of tasks set at the various stages of military operations."
