ArmInfo: "Status-quo in Nagorno Karabakh conflict unacceptable"

Yerevan, January 10. ArmInfo.

The status-quo in the Karabakh conflict zone is unacceptable and it was discussed at the EU-Russia summit, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy said when receiving credentials from Fuad Isgandarov, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belgium and head of the Azerbaijani Mission to the EU, on Wednesday.

He also said the EU intended to contribute to the settlement of the conflict, APA reports.

Borrell underlined that the European Union will make every effort to support the peace process and to remain a committed partner to the Afghan people. "Of course, we will have to take into account the evolving situation, but disengagement is not an option.  We are clear on that: there is no alternative to a negotiated political settlement, through inclusive peace talks.
