Aliev meets OSCE Minsk Group co-Chair diplomats who are in the region to follow-up on discussions held in Vienna in November.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev has met the co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Process - diplomats from United States, France and Russia to review progress in the Karabakh conflict settlement process. The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Ilmar Mammadyarov and the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman Ambassador Kasprzyk were also present.

No information was given after the meeting.

Today (10 October), the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado for the Nobel Peace Prize. In the speech, the Norwegian Nobel Committee said that “she won for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy”. Machado was among 338 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize and has become its 20th female laureate.
