Erdogan and Aliyev address 7th meeting of Turkic Council in Baku

The 7th Meeting of the Council of the Turkish Speaking Countries (Turkic Council) opened in Baku, Azerbaijan on Tuesday 15 October, with the participation of Azerbaijani prime minister Ilham Aliyev, Turkish president recip Tayip Edrogan and other leaders from Turkic speaking countries. 

During the meeting the Herads of State present honoured former Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev and gave him a special award.

The presidency of the Turkic Council has now been handed over from Kyrgistan to Azerbaijan.
