Armenian Defence Minister visits military post on the border with Azerbaijan

Armenian Defence Minister, David Tonayan, on Saturday visited an unspecified military base of the Armenian army on the border with Azerbaijan. This was stated in a facebook post by the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Defence.

“At the combat position David Tonoyan personally viewed the tactical situation, the adversary units, the engineering work done by our troops etc. At the end of the visit Davit Tonoyan issued relevant orders to the commanders,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on Facebook.

There has been an uneasy situation at various points on the border and in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone in recent weeks with two Armenian soldiers and two Azerbaijani soldiers reportedly killed.
