The foreign ministers of 13 EU member states have written to the European Commission asking that it provides support for covid-19 vaccinations to the six members of the Eastern Partnership. The letter follows a decision of the Commission to extend such support to the countries in Balkans, many of who are candidate members of the EU.
In their letter, the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden say that ahead of the forthcoming EU-Eastern Partnership summit it was important to send a strong and co-ordinated message on the strategic value of the Eastern Partnership.
