A big protest rally under the title "Georgia Stand Up!" will be held on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, on Sunday evening (June 29).
“Georgia’s enemy is trying to turn a free country into one big prison. Political leaders of pro-Western parties, journalists, activists, doctors, actors, poets, teachers are already in prison. The government’s repressions are already affecting all of us — and if this continues, we will also be in prison: some as prisoners, some as guards, but all of us — in prison.”
"Today, silence is obedience. But Georgia cannot obey. Our standing, our appearance, our voice — means that people in Georgia believe in freedom," the organizers of the rally said in a statement published on Sunday morning.
