The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, the United States and France - will hold talks in the coming days to resolve the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

According to Le Drian, the meetings will be held on October 8 in Geneva and on October 12 in Moscow.

Later, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that the head of the department, Jeyhun Bayramov, will take part in a meeting in Geneva with the three co-chairs. "The purpose of the visit is to meet the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and to present Azerbaijan's arguments on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the ministry said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, in turn, announced that on October 12, the Armenian Foreign Minister will meet in Moscow with Sergei Lavrov. It is not specified whether representatives of France and the United States will attend this meeting.

Several countries that border Russia intend to leave the Ottawa Convention which bans anti personnel land mines. They include EU member states Finland, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, as well as Ukraine. Russia has not signed the Ottawa treaty and continues to stockpile and use landmines. He said this is a step that the realities of war have long required. "Russia is not a party to this convention and is massively using mines against our military and civilians. We cannot remain constrained in conditions where the enemy has no restrictions," the MP noted.
