EU envoy Herbert Salber meets Azerbaijani President in Baku

The European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Herbert Salber, met in Baku with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev. The meeting is the latest in a series of diplomatic engagements ahead of an important summit between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan which is due to take place in Paris later this month under the auspices of the President of France, Francois Hollande.

The press service of the Azerbaijani President said that Aliev and Salber discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during their meeting but gave no further information.
