Lefort in Meetings with Armenian Leadership ahead of the visit of the President of the European Council to the South Caucasus.

The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Philippe Lefort met in Yerevan yesterday, with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

According to the Press Service of the President of Armenia, Sargsyan and Nalbandian reviewed EU-Armenia relations ahead of the forthcoming visit to the region of the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy. According to the Press Service Lefort congratulated the President on the holding of successful Parliamentary elections on 6 May and wished success to the new legislature.

The sides also discssued issues connected with confidence building around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process.
