Incidents reported on Karabakh "line of contact". An Azerbaijani soldier injured as sides exchange fire.

There are reports of incidents on the line of contact seperating Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

Azerbaijani media, citing sources in the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry are reporting that one Azerbaijani soldier was injured during an exchange of fire that seems to have spread across a various regions in the conflict area on Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Both sides regularly report cease fire violations and there is increasing concern that these incidents can easily escalate given the heavy concentration of arms and troops deployed by both sides.

Efforts of international mediators to calm the situation on the front line have only had modest results.

Trump had initially demanded rights to Ukraine's mineral wealth as compensation for US weapons sent under former president Joe Biden after Russia invaded just over three years ago.
