17 November: Azerbaijan and Russia yesterday conducted bilateral discussions on Caspian Sea issues at a meeting held in Baku at Deputy Foreign Minister level (APA)

Azerbaijan and Russia yesterday held bilateral consultations on Caspian Sea issues in the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The delegations were led by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Golovin participated in the meeting.

They discussed several issues on execution of protocol adopted in the Summit of leaders of Caspian littoral states and Joint Declaration of heads of Caspian littoral states, exchanged view on principles of Convention of legal status of the Caspian Sea.

Tehran will rebuild its nuclear facilities "with greater strength", Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian told Iranian state media adding that the country does not seek nuclear weapons. U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he would order fresh attacks on Iran's nuclear sites should Tehran try to restart facilities that the United States bombed in June. Pezeshkian made his comments during a visit to the country's Atomic Energy Organization on 2nd November during which he met with senior managers from Iran’s nuclear industry.
