Federica Mogherini, the European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, is in Tbilisi on her first official visit to Georgia.
She is expected to meet President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Parliament Speaker David Usupashvili, leaders of the Parliamentary factions and civil society representatives and take part in the international high-level conference Achieving Gender Equality held in Georgia's capital Tbilisi.
Mogherini will also pay a visit with the EU Monitoring Mission Georgia to the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) that separates Georgia's breakaway South Ossetia region from the rest of the country. Also, as some media oulets report, one of the key issues discussed during her visit will be developments around Rustavi 2 television station and media pluralism.
