Armenia has warned the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that a report it plans to prepare on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict "could undermine the Co-Chairs' activities as well as the negotiation process." The warning came from Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in his meeting with the Co-Rapporteurs of PACE, Axel Fischer and Alan Meale, in Yerevan on Thursday (11 June). In the meeting the Minister also explained the efforts exerted by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Reporting the comments, the website of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Nalbandian also presented to the co-rapporteurs his view of the current state of relations between Armenia and the European Union.
Later in the day the he co-rapporteurs also had a meeting with the Armenian President, Serzh Sargsyan.
