Aliev and Sargsyan met in Vienna to discuss Karabakh conflict settlement. "The Presidents agreed to give impetus to further negotiations aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement."

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev met in Vienna on Tuesday morning as part of efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

A statement by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs following the meeting said that during a tête-à-tête meeting that was followed by a working meeting with the co-chairs and ministers, the presidents discussed a wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"The Presidents agreed to give impetus to further negotiations aimed at reaching peaceful settlement , and instructed their foreign ministers together with the co-chairs to continue work on what has been already done in order to intensify the peace process. They agreed to meet again in the coming months.

As a next step, the co-chairs will organize working meetings with ministers on the margins of OSCE Ministerial Council to be held on December 5-6 in Kiev. The Co-Chairs plan to visit the region before the end of this year."
