Shooting continued overnight from Monday to Tuesday (27-28 July) near the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in the Karabakh conflict zone. Both Armenian and Azerbaijani sources claim that heavy weapons including mortars and heavy machine guns were used against them by the opposing side. Both sides claim that they are in control of the situation.
There have not been any reports of any casualties in the last twenty four hours.
Incidents over the last weekend were the most serious for many months. (see report here).
