Prime Minister of NKR:

In 2012 6 new projects in the agricultural, information technologies and mining sectors will be implemented in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, ArmInfo's correspondent to Stepanakert reported.

Geological investigation program containing a series of subprojects provides for study and optimal use of mineral resources, further development of the leading industrial sector - mining industry- that makes up 45% of total industrial production in the country.

Minister of Economic Development of NKR Karen Yesayan said the state budget pays such high attention to study of mineral resources for the first time. NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutiunyan said several mining enterprises will be put into exploitation in some 2-3 years. These enterprises have as much capacity as the leading Drmbon copper and gold concentrate producing combine. In the agricultural sector an express laboratory will be launched to make field works more efficient. In addition, material and technical resources in the IT sector will be improved.

Donald Trump still wants Greenland. "We have to have it", the US president insists. He has sparked a fresh row with Denmark after appointing a special envoy to Greenland.   In response to a question from the BBC about the new role of Jeff Landry, the Republican governor of Louisiana, Trump said the US needed Greenland for "national protection" and that "we have to have it". Trump specifically mentioned Chinese and Russian ships as potential threats in the nearby seas. Greenland, home to about 57,000 people, has had extensive self-government since 1979, though defence and foreign policy remain in Danish hands.
