Paris urges Baku to take confidence-building measures with Yerevan

President of France Francois Hollande urged his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, who is currently on a working visit to Paris, to take confidence-building measures with Armenia and stimulate the Karabakh peace process within the OSCE Minsk Group. The Elysee Palace press-service reports the two presidents as discussing also relevant international issues.

It is noteworthy that Armenians of France organized large-scale actions of protest against Aliyev and Azerbaijan in many big cities in France. The key protest action was held on Sept 18 in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris. Armenians expressed discontent at pardon and glorification of the Azerbaijani murderer Ramil Safarov and blamed President Hollande for "spreading red carpet" for Aliyev who glorifies a murderer.
