In a classic Truth Social post today (28 May), United States President Donald Trump expressed his full support for Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is running for re-election in one of Armenia’s most important elections. Many analysts in Armenia and outside the country argue that these elections are crucial and will determine the direction of the country.
In his post, Trump mentioned:

Nikol completely shares my vision of PEACE and PROSPERITY for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus region. Soon, the United States and Armenia will break ground together on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, which will transform the South Caucasus, and help our wonderful American Energy Companies gain access from Central Asia all the way to the United States. The Armenian people will go to the polls in only 10 days, and different debates are shaping the election campaign, including: peace or a reconsideration of the peace process, whether to move closer to the European Union or rely more heavily on Russia, and whether democratic reforms should continue or return to the former political system.
Not only the Americans, but also the Russians are closely following the elections.
