Festive lights are on throughout the South Caucasus

Festiive lights are up throughout the South Caucasus as people of all nationalities prepare to celebrate Christmas and New Year. In Baku elaborate festive lights adorned the centre of the city and iconic landmarks, such as the historic Maiden Tower. Celebrations in Azerbaijan will reach their climax on New Year's eve.

"Of course, we will have to take into account the evolving situation, but disengagement is not an option.  We are clear on that: there is no alternative to a negotiated political settlement, through inclusive peace talks.
