The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will visit Ankara on Monday July 18, and inform Turkey about ongoing negotiations to resolve the Nagorno-Karbakh conflict.
“Turkey, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, will continue to make efforts for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” said Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Baku on Friday, stating his support for a peaceful resolution, and saying Armenia should avoid provocations.
"We have witnessed that provocative actions and ceasefire violations during the April events produced no results,” Cavusoglu said. Turkey is a close ally of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said he had briefed his Turkish counterpart of progress in the negotiations. "As a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, Turkey must be aware of the events over the conflict settlement."
