UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned "this flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar".
Speaking at a news briefing he said he had just learned of the strike on Qatar, which he describes as "a country that has been playing a very positive role to achieve a ceasefire and release of all hostages".
