Serious incident in Karabakh conflict zone

There are reports of a serious incident in the Karabakh conflict zone on Monday afternoon (15 May).

The Associated Press News agency, citing the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, says that Azerbaijan has on Monday destroyed an Osa air defense system along with its crew, adding that its deployment near the line of contact was a "provocation" and a threat to Azerbaijani aircraft.

The incident is also being reported by the Armenian media which says that the incident happened at 16.30 local time Monday.

Armenian media quoting defence sources in the self-declared Nagorno-Karabakh Republic said "the adversary opened fire at a military object of the Artsakh Defense Army from a guided missile, as a result of which one unit of military equipment was partially damaged. The Defense Army has suffered no human losses".

Commonspace.eu is reporting these incidents based on information in the local media and is not in a position to confirm the details.
