The Armenian army is able to hit military and economic, including oil and gas facilities of probable enemy, Head of the Operative Unit, the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Artak Davtyan told media, Monday, when presenting the results of the strategic command and staff exercises of the Armenian Armed Forces on October 1-13. 

He said the Armenian Armed Forces are able to make surgical military strikes against the important facilities of the enemy in a distance of 300km and more. The past exercises included also such maneuvers.  Generally, Davtyan welcomed the high level of the exercises and called them unprecedented due to involvement of up to 45,000 militaries of the National Security and Police troops and nearly 5,000 units of military hardware, aircrafts, drone aircrafts made in Armenia and up-to-date anti-tank weapons.  "The tasks set to the manpower were fulfilled," he said.

In response to ArmInfo's question about the modernization trends of the enemy's armor and military hardware, Davtyan said that the Armenian Armed Forces leadership is following acquisition of new armor by the probable enemy and tries not to yield to it. 

"I'd like to say that the above anti-tank weapons of our army are designed for the fight against up-to-date models of tanks. I think that modernization and improvement of our arms and military hardware will keep growing," he said.

They agreed to work together with President Trump and President Zelenskyy to get to a lasting peace which preserves Ukrainian sovereignty and European security. Leaders appreciated the strong convergence between the United States, Ukraine and Europe. Leaders agreed that ensuring the security, sovereignty, and prosperity of Ukraine was integral for wider Euro-Atlantic security. They were clear that Ukraine and its people deserved a prosperous, independent, and sovereign future, free from fear of future Russian aggression. Both the US and European leaders committed to work together to provide robust security guarantees and economic recovery support measures for Ukraine in the context of an agreement on ending the war. This would include commitments to: Provide sustained and significant support to Ukraine to build its armed forces, which should remain at a peacetime level of 800,000 to be able to deter conflict and defend Ukraine’s territory. A European-led ‘multinational force Ukraine’ made up from contributions from willing nations within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing and supported by the US. It will assist in the regeneration of Ukraine’s forces, in securing Ukraine’s skies, and in supporting safer seas, including through operating inside Ukraine.
