The extradition of an Azerbaijani killer Ramil Safarov by Hungarian authorities and his pardoning by Ilham Aliyev have complicated the negotiating process on Karabakh conflict settlement, the leader of the "Noravank" fund, Gagik Harutyunyan, said at today's press-conference.
"After such display of Armenophobia, the distrust of the parties has grown more in the negotiating process, and naturally this process will be suspended for some period of time. However, it is not beneficial for Armenia and the NKR to leave it, as just at this moment we can put stress at hostile attitude of Azerbaijanis to the Armenians and again voice a thesis about impossibility of the NKR being within Azerbaijan", - he said. At the same time, the expert said that the last development of events did not increase the possibility of resumption of the battle actions, as history shows that the society, the hero of which is a criminal, which hacked a man to death with an axe, is not ready to a war.
He said that Armenia should not restore diplomatic relations with Hungary in the near future, as this country demonstrated an open cynicism and is not sorry about what has happened. He also added that having extradited Safarov, Hungary has reduced its authority and the authority of the EU in general.
