Intensive diplomatic efforts are on the way following recent large scale fighting in the Karabakh conflict zone. Diplomats representing France, Russia and the United States, the three co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Process on Wednesday met President Ilham Aliev of Azerbaijan in Baku. Senior Russian leaders are also reported to be on their way to the region. Reports from the front line suggest that some minor violations of the cease fire are taking place but that on the whole the agreement to halt hostilities brokered by Russia is holding.
