World leaders are in the Turkish resort of Antalya where they are attending a summit meeting of the G20 group of nations. Among those present are President Obama of the United States, President Putin of Russia, Chancellor Merkel of Germany, Prime Minister Cameron of Britain and leaders of the European Union institutions. The meeting is hosted by Turkish President Recip Tayip Erdogan.
A notable absentee is French President Francois Hollande who cancelled his travel to Turkey following the terroroist attacks in Paris on Friday night. The Paris attacks also overshadow discussions at the G20 as world leaders send a united message of condemnation of terrorism.
Among those present in Antalya is Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev. Azerbaijan is not a member of the G20, but Aliev is attending the summit as special guest of the Turkish Chairmanship of the G20.
