Bernard Fassier:

Resolution of the Karabakh conflict is possible only by peaceful talks, and our goal is to create conditions for final resolution of the conflict, Bernard Fassier, French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, said in Stepanakert, October 22. B. Fassier together with his colleagues Robert Bradtke of USA and Igor Popov of Russia was in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic as part of the visit to the region.

The French diplomat urged the conflicting parties to categorically refuse bellicose statements. When people speak of war and resolution of the conflict by force, it does not contribute to confidence building and peaceful discussions, Bernard Fassier said. He highlighted that the current situation is the result of the military aggression. The mediator came out for further peace talks.
